Himalayan Griffon is called environment lover

Wildlife lover Radheshyam Pemani said that so far this year, vultures of Eurasian Griffon, Himalayan Griffon and Cinereous Vulture species have visited the district. Himalayan Griffon is a migratory vulture, which reaches here in search of food during the winter season. These vultures live across the Himalayas in cold regions like Central Asia, Europe, Tibet etc. During the winter season, when rivers, lakes and ponds get frozen and there is no food available, these vultures travel thousands of kilometers and head towards western Rajasthan. The border district Jaisalmer is an animal-rich area. In such a situation, these vultures easily get food here. Vultures mainly consume dead animals. Due to which the environment also remains pure. That’s why vultures are also called environment lovers.
