Jaipur : The state government has divided the work of roads in the capital Jaipur. The Urban Development Department has issued orders for this. To ensure that there is no problem in the work and there is coordination, the Urban Development Department has also formed a committee. The JDA Commissioner is the convener of this committee and the commissioners of both the municipal corporations, both the directors of JDA engineering branch, the forest conservator of JDA and the superintending engineer of the public works department have been included as members.
This is how work is allocated
JDA will get the repair and renovation work of roads 80 feet or more wide done in Greater Municipal Corporation jurisdiction. Greater Corporation will get the work of roads less than 80 feet wide done at its own level. The same order will be applicable in the Heritage Corporation boundary area except Parkota. Heritage Corporation will get all the roads of Parkota constructed as before.
Apart from this, the Rajasthan Housing Board will itself carry out the repair and maintenance of roads in those schemes which have not yet been transferred to the Municipal Corporation.
These orders were also given
– The organization maintaining the road will look after the work of drainage, footpath, service road and plantation
– Permission for road cut will be given by the same department which is maintaining that road
– The municipal corporation will clean all the roads of Jaipur and all the drains including the big drains.
– The department will continue to carry out repair, renovation and maintenance work of roads under the jurisdiction of the Public Works Department in the city. JDA and Municipal Corporation will not repair these roads
