Jaipur : When the encroachment was removed, a 5-storey hotel standing on a pillar came into view… even the officials were surprised. JDA enforcement branch completed the encroachment demolition drive for widening of New Sanganer Road on the third day itself. In three days, JDA’s bulldozer ran on 650 illegal constructions from Metro Station to Sanganer Railway Overbridge, a total length of 6.5 km. On the last day, the enforcement branch demolished a total of 218 encroachments from Mangal Farm to Sanganer, including 188 shops, 2 hotels, 3 marriage gardens, 1 temple and boundary walls of 5 plots.
Chief Enforcement Controller Mahendra Kumar Sharma said that now only the constructions with court stay are left to be removed, which will be advocated in the court and further action will be decided. After the campaign, JDA engineering wing has started work. About 25-30 thousand cubic meters of debris lying on the spot will be removed in a month, then the road construction work will start on the spot. Road construction work will be started from Sanganer Overbridge to Metro Station after getting the first phase-1 financial approval. A 29 meter corridor will be built on one side. In this, a 16 meter main road, 3 meter green belt, 7.5 meter service lane and 2.5 meter footpath will be built.
In the second phase, a drain line and utility area will be constructed from Gopalpura bypass to Sanganer after conducting a survey of the disposal point. 13 crore rupees will be spent on widening this road. This project will take about 6 months to complete. In this, along with designing the intersections, black spots will also be fixed. Zone enforcement officer Tribhuvan Vashisht said that the campaign was completed in three days by persuasion and in a peaceful manner.
