Pali : Police has arrested the jeweler who absconded with lakhs of rupees for making gold and silver jewelery for customers in Pali. The accused had vacated the shop and ran away with gold, silver and rupees worth lakhs of rupees as security. The matter is of Marwar Junction police station area of Pali district. Marwar Junction SHO Saroj Bairwa said – 27 year old Rakesh Soni, son of Bheraram Soni, resident of Ratkudiya (Pipar City) of Jodhpur district, in the house of Bhanwarlal son of Jitaram Kumawat in Bijliyawas village of the police station area. Jeweler shop was set up.
He lived in the village along with his family. During this time, he gave Rs 9 lakh to Devaram Kharnaria for making gold jewellery. Similarly, Bhanwarlal Kumawat had also given one kilo of silver and 20 thousand rupees to Rakesh Soni. After several months, Rakesh Soni neither made the jewelery nor returned the money to Devaram. There was an argument between the two on this issue. On this Rakesh assured them to make the jewelery soon. But when the villagers reached his shop on the morning of July 4, 2024, he had vacated the shop and the house and ran away overnight.
On receiving information about this, landlord Bhanwarlal Kumawat also reached the spot. The accused had also taken one kilo of silver and 20 thousand rupees from them. On this, the victims filed a case against the accused Rakesh Soni for grabbing money and jewellery. The police arrested the accused Rakesh. Police said that in the past, two cases were registered against the accused in Pipar city and one case each in Beawar and Jodhpur. The accused is a top level criminal. The one who first wins the trust of the people by setting up a shop in the village and then runs away with the money and gold and silver given for making jewellery. The police will try to recover the money and jewelery grabbed from the people during the remand of the accused.
