Jaipur : In the case of taking Rs 6 crore from an American woman and giving her fake jewellery, the police has started preparing to confiscate the property of the jewellery merchant father-son and daughter-in-law. Investigation officer Bajrang Singh Shekhawat said that a file is being prepared to get a warrant issued from the court. After this, the action of confiscating the property will be taken. The police team is busy searching for the father-son and daughter-in-law. It is worth noting that Rajendra Soni, resident of Bhagwat Vatika in Civil Lines, and Rajendra’s son Gaurav Soni, resident of C-Scheme, sold jewellery worth Rs 6 crore to Cheris Naurate, an American resident. When Cheris Naurate got the jewellery examined, jewellery worth Rs 4.5 crore was found to be fake. Whereas the father-son had made a certificate of the quality of the jewellery from Nandkishore Valmiki, resident of Mansarovar, and gave it to Cheris Naurate. In this regard, Cheris Naurate had lodged a report in Manak Chowk police station on May 18.

Police investigation revealed that out of the money taken from Cheris Naurate, Gaurav had bought a flat worth Rs 3 crore in his wife’s name in an under-construction apartment near Agrasen Circle. Police have also considered Gaurav’s wife as an accused. Police had issued a lookout notice as soon as the accused went underground. This raises the suspicion that the accused are hiding somewhere in India. Information about the accused’s bank accounts is also being collected.
