Under this scheme, the city’s street vendors are given credit facility without giving any mortgage. The Municipal Council Commissioner said that this scheme was started in June 2020 at the time of Corona epidemic, under this scheme There is a provision to give loan of Rs 10,000 to small traders and street vendors. The applicant has to apply through the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana portal. Vendors taking loans under the scheme are eligible for interest subsidy at the rate of 7 percent. This applies only to prompt paying customers.
Under PM Swanidhi Yojana, a target of 2 thousand 995 was given in 5 urban bodies of Jhalawar district. In compliance with which, till now 4 thousand 453 applications have been filled online on the portal and loans have been distributed by the bank to 2 thousand 809 persons under this scheme. At the same time, Municipal Council Jhalawar had achieved the target of 1 thousand 79. Under which loans have been distributed to 825 persons through the bank. In the year 2024, under the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana, 15 urban bodies were selected for excellent work in the state. In which Municipal Council Jhalawar has been honored at the state level.
