Jhalawar Chandrabhaga Kartik Fair, increased crowd at woolen clothes shops

Jhalawar News Desk: There is a lot of activity in the Chandrabhaga Kartik fair going on in the city. Due to increase in coolness in the weather, good customer base has started at all the shops. People who came to the fair bought woolen clothes in the market including coats, jerseys, sweaters, jackets, jerkins, mufflers, caps, quilts, blankets etc. to be sold at cheap rates. Bought pants, shirts, jeans and other types of clothes for everyday wear. Apart from this, women bought Manihari, iron, bangles, handloom, utensils, toys, shoes, slippers, crockery, decorative items and other items of their need. Enjoyed it. People who came to the fair enjoyed eating chaat pakodas, potato cakes, golgappas, soti, garam imrati, gulab jamun and other dishes and enjoyed fruit juices. Women and children enjoyed swing, chakri, boat, break dance etc.

Shopkeepers of the fair said that with the onset of winter, the patronage in the woolen cloth market has started well. From here people are buying woolen clothes to protect themselves from cold. Shopkeepers told that this fair will continue till Makar Sankranti. After this, he will take the shops from here to Bengali Baba Fair in Khanpur and Ijitma to be held in Bhopal.

In Chandrabhaga Kartik fair, there is a huge crowd of customers gathering at these shops due to the availability of ready-made garments at rates lower than tailoring in the woolen textile market. Paint shirts are available at cheap rates in many shops in the market of the fair, shopkeepers are attracting customers by announcing one price for each item. There are many foreign clothes available here which are also quite strong in quality. People buy them and wear them after getting them fitted as per their body. Their cost is less than sewing new clothes. Due to which this fair proves to be a boon for many poor people. People are buying clothes from here as per their requirement throughout the year. Shopkeepers told that they buy the lots of clothes coming from abroad at Mumbai port at cheap prices and hence they are making them available to the customers at cheaper rates. Apart from this, all types of woolen clothes are available to protect from cold. Which the local people and the foreigners are buying with enthusiasm.
