Jhalawar : Jhalawar spearness Water is supplied to the entire district including the area from the Chhapi river near the town, but only the people of Bhalta situated on the banks of the river are facing drinking water crisis. According to the information, people of Bhalta town are suffering due to non-availability of drinking water supply for the last 4 days. One has to struggle for drinking water even during winter. In the village, along with men, women and children are also forced to be busy in collecting water.
Due to lack of water supply in taps for the last 4 days, we have been forced to resort to hand pumps. Due to crowd even at hand pumps, one has to leave the important household work and wait for hours. The problems faced by agricultural laborers have also increased. People from farmer and laborer families say that they should go to work or arrange for water. To solve the problem, they also called 181 but there was no solution. People including Vishnu Sen, Ameen Khan, Prakash Bhandari, Girish Gupta, Pappu Rathore, Mangibai told that they are troubled by the drinking water crisis even during winter.
Damaged pipeline not taken care of
On Sunday, while demolishing the old culvert for the construction of a new culvert on the town-Asalpur road, the inspector had damaged the line filling the drinking water tank. Which was not rectified even till the third day, Tuesday. The villagers have demanded restoration of drinking water supply.
