On the occasion of Geeta Jayanti, Gita General Knowledge Competition was organized at Jhalawar : Government Post Graduate College, under the joint aegis of Sanskrit Department and Indian Knowledge Tradition Centre. In the competition, Salina stood first, Tamanna Nagar stood second and Prince Suman stood third. Acting Principal Dr. Ashok Kanwar Shekhawat said that Geeta is the origin of the entire literature written from the first verse of Rigveda till the present day. There is nothing left after its study. Geeta is the resting place of all worldly sorrows. Head of Sanskrit Department and in-charge of Indian Knowledge Tradition Center, Prof. Alka Bagla said that the Indian knowledge tradition is intact. It contains all types of knowledge. Therefore we should protect the Indian knowledge tradition. After this, Dr. Om Prakash Bairwa sang a verse about the nature of the soul described in the Bhagavad Gita and presented its detailed explanation to the students. Senior faculty member Prof. Ramkalyan Meena assimilated Geeta in life and inspired him to move forward.
Geeta lesson was organized on Geeta Jayanti at Jhalrapatan Horticulture and Forestry College on Wednesday. Dean Dr. Ashutosh Mishra said that Geeta is a book to explain the management of life, which students must study to make their life successful. Needed In Geeta, positive thinking, priority of action, self-observation and method of achieving the goal have been composed through various verses. By adopting which students can achieve the goal of their life.
Dr. S.B.S. Pandey said that reciting Geeta brings positive energy in life. Assistant Student Welfare Director Dr. Hemraj Chhipa said that in this program the students were motivated to read Geeta by making them recite the first, middle and last shloka of Geeta. Teachers Dr. C.K.Arya, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Dr. Rahul Chopra, Dr. Anil Kumar Gupta, Dr. Kanika Upadhyay also told the students the tricks to become successful in life by taking inspiration from Geeta. 205 students participated in Geeta lesson.
