Jhalawar : Jhalawar Cold winds have shaken life. Winter is in full swing. The mercury is also continuously falling. The minimum temperature came down to 4 degrees on Wednesday. This was the coldest night of the season. The mercury dipped by two degrees on Wednesday as compared to Tuesday. The maximum temperature increased by one degree to 23. With the increase in winter, people are now seen getting relief by lighting bonfires at various places. Fog has also started making its presence felt in the early hours.
Cold has suddenly increased due to northern winds. It will show more impact in the coming days. The effect of winter is most visible in the morning and night due to cold winds. Cold winds forced people to wear warm clothes. Even though the sun is shining brightly, it is becoming ineffective due to the winds. In the morning and evening, people are seen warming themselves by lighting bonfires in the streets, neighborhoods and intersections. Farmers say that the longer the winter, the better it is for Kharif crops. Till a decade ago, there used to be severe cold in the month of Kartik. This time in the month of Kartik, people have not even used woolen clothes.
