Jhalawar Kidnapping of minor girl on the pretext of marriage, fine imposed

Jhalawar : POCSO Court Serial No. 2, Jhalwad has sentenced the culprit to 5 years of rigorous imprisonment for luring a minor girl student on the pretext of marriage.

Special Public Prosecutor Ramhetar Gurjar said that Special Judge Ganesh Kumar of POCSO Court Serial No. 2, Jhalwad, punished the accused, 32 year old resident of Alwar, with 5 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000. For non-payment of fine, he was sentenced to additional simple imprisonment of 6 months.

Complainant lodged FIR in Police Station Aklera. It was reported on 24 February 2024 that his minor 13-year-old daughter had gone to school on 21 February. Who did not return to eat food. After the report was filed, the police arrested the girl. The girl told that the accused had seduced her for the purpose of marriage and kept her at a relative’s place near Jaipur Railway Station and raped her, then he took her to Alwar and raped her there too.

The police conducted investigation and arrested the accused on March 10, 2024, presented him in the court on March 14, since then the accused is in judicial custody. Distinguished public prosecutor Ramhetar Gurjar presented 15 witnesses and 29 documents, on the basis of which the accused was acquitted on the charge of rape, but after finding him guilty on the charge of luring the victim away for the purpose of marriage, he was sentenced to five years of rigorous imprisonment. Punished with imprisonment and fine of Rs 10,000.
