Jhalawar News Desk: Along with education, attention is also being given to the health of children in government schools. In the Mid Day Meal Scheme, along with nutritious food, milk is also given to the children. Milk powder packets have arrived in 1542 schools out of 1743 schools in the district after almost a year, but 201 schools in Khanpur block will still have to wait. In some schools of the district, the nutrition in-charges had to arrange for different schools and in many schools the children had to be fed milk from the packets that came during the time of the previous government, while in some schools milk was not distributed for several months. The government has again sent packets of powder to 1542 schools of the district for regular milk feeding. Keeping in mind the health of the children along with their studies, food is fed in schools under the Mid Day Meal Scheme by the State Government and the Education Department. Also, from July 1, 2022, milk was being given in milk powder packets in schools under the Mukhyamantri Bal Gopal Milk Scheme, but as soon as the government changed, the milk powder packets did not arrive. In such a situation, in many schools of the district, children have not been given regular milk for almost a year due to lack of milk powder. Now the state government has named this scheme as Pannadhay Bal Gopal Yojana.
After the cycles being distributed to the students, now the color of the milk powder packets given in the mid-day meal in schools has also changed. Bal Gopal Yojana was operated in schools during the Congress government in the state. At that time the packets were pink and had the photo of the then CM Ashok Gehlot. It is now operated under the name Pannadhay Bal Gopal Yojana. After changing the name, the color of the milk powder packet that came for the first time has also changed. Above on one side is the photo of Pannadhay and on the other side is the photo of CM Bhajanlal. Cows are printed in the pasture below. According to officials, each packet is of one kg. The method of making milk is also printed on it. Its expiry date is 12 November 2025.
