Jhalawar Sarpanch election canceled due to fake voting

Jhalawar : DJ Court of Jhalawar has declared the election of Sarpanch held in Kolukhedikalan Gram Panchayat on January 17, 2020 as illegal and has ordered to cancel it.

In DJ Court Jhalawar, District Judge Siya Raghunath Dan has passed orders to cancel the election of Laxman Singh (20), son of Jamnalal Bhil, resident of Kolukhedikalan for the post of Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Kolukhedikalan of Kolukhedikalan, Tehsil Manoharthana on January 17, 2020, declaring it illegal. In this case, Shanti Bai (38), resident of Hanotiyalodhan, wife of Ram Kalyan Bhil, had presented an election petition before District Judge Jhalawar.

It was told that during the voting for the post of Sarpanch of Kolukhedikalan Gram Panchayat on January 17, 2020, the applicant Laxman Singh had influenced the election by casting fake votes of dead persons, jailed persons and many missing persons and Laxman Singh was elected to the post of Sarpanch. A petition was filed declaring the election illegal and praying for its cancellation. District Judge Jhalawar Siya Raghunath Dan accepted this and passed orders to cancel the election considering it illegal. Also ordered that the election of Laxman Singh to the post of Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Kolukhedikalan is canceled considering it illegal.
