Jhalawar : Agricultural connection is not being made by Jhalawar Jaipur Electricity Distribution Corporation Block Manoharthana even after a year of depositing the demand amount by the farmers of the area after the application. Due to which they are suffering huge losses. Despite efforts by the farmers for one year, the corporation has not provided the facility of agricultural connection to the farmers. Farmers of the area and members of the Farmers Union said that even after one year of depositing the demand amount, the farmers of the area have not been able to get electricity connections, nor have transformers been installed. When officers are called, they do not pick up and the employees turn them away after asking to talk to officers. After all, if the farmer goes, where should he go, there is no one to listen. Farmers are taking loans for agricultural connections, but if they do not get agricultural connections in this season too, this season will also be spoiled. Due to this, farmers are facing many challenges along with financial loss.
I deposited the demand amount of Rs 15 thousand 250 on 4 December 2023, but till date I have not received the agricultural connection. When I reached the office, the officials said that there is no well on your farm whereas I have two wells on my farm, yet till today I have not been given connection to the transformer.
After taking out the demand, the amount was deposited a year ago, so that the electricity connection could be made on time, but even after the beginning of Rabi season, agriculture is facing problems due to lack of connection. In such a situation, if the connection is not released soon, then the work will have to be done by taking water from someone else. One year has passed since the demand was submitted but till now only poles have been erected by the corporation. Till now, due to non-payment of DP and lack of connection, there is a problem regarding irrigation in the fields.
