Jhalawar took away the wall and door from the water supply department premises.

Jhalawar : Khanpur In the high water supply complex of Mahavir Water Supply Department located on Baran Road of the town, the people of the surrounding areas have made a common way to enter the colony by breaking the door and boundary wall at the main gate. Due to the negligence of the department, a contractor of the electricity department has kept the electrical items in the premises. In such a situation, the arrangements of the water supply department are running on God’s trust. Whereas lakhs are paid every month by the water supply department for the entire work including water supply, maintenance of leakage pipe lines and repair of reservoirs. But the contractors collect payment worth lakhs without carrying out repairs and other works.

The water supply department has a high reservoir of 3.30 lakh liters on Baran Road. The surrounding people have broken the boundary wall built around it and have made a path to the colony. The gate at the main entrance of the complex has been broken for a long time. Due to the gate of the main gate being broken, many times the nearby people tie their cattle in the premises, while due to lack of maintenance, the entire premises is full of bushes and filth is spread. Due to lack of maintenance, the pipelines have become buried in the bushes, hence many times the employees are facing problems in opening and repairing the valves. There is no employee of the water supply department or contractor working here for the maintenance and other works of the reservoir. Whereas in the past, consumers had to face drinking water crisis several times in the open premises due to anti-social elements opening the valves and spilling lakhs of liters of water. Due to dirty water and mud spread all around the tank complex, there is no way to reach the complex. Residents of the colony said that this situation has persisted due to the water supply department and contractor employees not paying attention. In this regard, Assistant Engineer of the department, Priyanka Sahu said that this matter is not in her knowledge. The matter will be shown on the spot.
