Jhalawar woman dies after consuming rat poison, mourning in the house

Jhalawar : A woman resident of Aklera, Jhalawar, consumed medicine after killing rats at her house on Friday. The woman was admitted to the district hospital for treatment, where she died during treatment. Aklera police reached Jhalawar District Hospital, conducted postmortem of the woman and handed over the body to her family members.

Constable Dashrath Sharma of Aklera police station said that Santosh Bai (38), wife of Ramswaroop Bairwa, resident of Harijan Basti, consumed rat poison at their home. Due to this his health deteriorated. The family brought him to Jhalawar Hospital for treatment, where he was discharged from the hospital on Sunday, but after some time, when his health deteriorated, he was admitted to Jhalawar District Hospital, where he died during treatment on Sunday night. Hospital outpost in-charge Mahendra Singh Meena said that after keeping the body in the mortuary, he informed the Aklera police. On receiving the information, Aklera police reached the hospital on Monday and got the postmortem of the woman done and handed over the body to the family members. Family members told that the mental condition of the woman was not good. Police have registered a case of death under suspicious circumstances and started investigation.
