Jhunjhunu electricity lineman caught red handed taking bribe of Rs 7 thousand

Jhunjhunu : Jhunjhunu Anti-Corruption Bureau Jhunjhunu team on Friday arrested Electricity Corporation’s Bhodan Lineman Ramavatar Gurjar red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 7 thousand. The lineman had taken bribe for not filling the VCR of the tube well. Jhunjhunu ACB Additional Superintendent of Police Ismail Khan said that the complainant, resident of Bhodan, had come to the ACB office on November 26 and lodged a complaint. He told that Bhodan’s electrical lineman Ramavatar Gurjar is harassing the tube well by demanding a bribe of Rs 10 thousand for not paying the VCR of Rs 80 thousand. The complainant told that later the matter was settled for Rs 7 thousand. After this, the ACB team verified the complaint and took trap action against CI Suresh Chand and his team. The complainant gave Rs 7,000 to electrical lineman Ramavatar Gurjar on Friday. As soon as the signal was received, the ACB team caught lineman Ramavatar Gurjar red handed.
