Jhunjhunu : Food Corporation of India (FCI) will purchase wheat from farmers of Jhunjhunu, Churu and Bikaner. Farmers will be given Rs 2425 on every bag. Payment will be made within 48 hours. Preparations have started. For this, FCI will set up centers in the agricultural produce markets of the district headquarters, Nawalgarh and Gudagaudji. FCI will purchase wheat at the rate of Rs 2425 per quintal. Last time the Rajasthan government had given an additional bonus of Rs 125 per quintal. However, the state government has not yet announced the bonus.
But it is believed that if the government announces a bonus of at least Rs 125, then the farmer’s wheat will be sold at the rate of Rs 2550 per quintal. The biggest benefit from this will be that farmers will not have to go to any officer or employee to get the price of their produce. As soon as the wheat is sold, the amount will be credited to the farmer’s bank account within 48 hours. FCI Jhunjhunu manager Rakesh Kumar Mahala said that farmers can apply online from any e-mitra. After application they will get a token.
The date and name of the market will be on the token. By showing this, wheat can be sold in the concerned market. Apart from this, two of their own employees will be deployed at all three centers and they will do free registration. In this regard, Divisional Manager of Food Corporation of India, Bikaner Division, Jhabar Mal Meena has held a meeting of officials and given necessary instructions regarding the purchase. Registration will start in March or April. Farmers will be able to sell their crop more by sowing wheat in greater quantities.
