The Excise Department will take strict action against those who hold such parties without permission. Regarding this, Excise Commissioner Shivprasad Nakate has issued an order and asked to ensure its compliance. The number of people drinking alcohol in the party has also been fixed. Not only this, common people will also be able to lodge a complaint with the Excise Department on a toll free number against those who hold illegal liquor parties. According to the Excise Department, if a party is found without a license in any hotel, dhaba, restaurant or wedding, birthday party or other event, then a case will be registered against that person and action will be taken.
District Excise Officer Amarjeet said that those organizing liquor parties at weddings or serving liquor in hotels, dhabas and restaurants will now have to first obtain a license from the Excise Department. For domestic party, you will have to pay Rs 2,000 per day. Also, the businessman will have to register for the first year, for which a registration fee of Rs 20 thousand will have to be paid. On any special occasion, the person holding the license will have to pay a fee of Rs 12,000 per day. Instructions have been issued in this regard.
Different license fees determined
According to the department, different license fees have been fixed for liquor parties, which have been divided into three categories. For a party at a domestic house, you will have to pay Rs 2,000 per day. For a businessman, he will have to register for the first year, for which a registration fee of Rs 20 thousand will have to be paid. On any special occasion, the person holding the license will have to pay a fee of Rs 12,000 per day.
Used to serve liquor from outside states
According to departmental officials, investigation has revealed that liquor from other states is often served indiscriminately in the parties or wedding ceremonies of many license holders, due to which they have to suffer loss of revenue. The department will keep a close watch on serving such Mandira and unauthorized transportation, manufacturing and storage of liquor.
Will have to buy on contract, will get online license
According to the Excise Commissioner, for events held for one day or more in hotel, restaurant, club bar premises, a license to serve liquor will have to be approved from the Excise Department. The Excise Department has now started the online process for granting temporary license to serve liquor in one-day or two-day parties or weddings. Liquor will also have to be purchased from any contract of Excise Department.
