Jhunjhunu Organic farming is giving profit along with health, farmers should stay away from chemicals.

Jhunjhunu News Desk: Everyone’s health is being harmed due to continuous use of pesticides in crops. Due to this, the demand for fruits, vegetables and grains prepared through organic farming has started increasing. For the past several decades, the inclination of farmers towards organic farming has been increasing in Jhunjhunu district. Due to this, the consumption of pesticides has started decreasing and also the health of the people who are using grains and fruits and vegetables prepared from organic farming also remains good. Due to this the demand for grains and fruits and vegetables has also increased. Due to increase in demand, farmers have also started earning good profits. This rapidly moving trend towards organic farming is a good sign for the farmers as well as the common people.

Organic farming in 10500 hectares

The scope of organic farming has been continuously increasing in the last several years in Jhunjhunu district. At present organic farming is being done in ten and a half thousand hectares in the district. If we talk about farmers, 15 thousand farmers have adopted this farming. Apart from Rabi crops, vegetables and fruits are being produced under organic farming.

Awareness has increased among people

People have come to know that the continuous use of chemical pesticides in crops is deteriorating their health. Even due to pesticides used in agriculture, harmful chemicals are getting added to vegetables and fruits and reaching our food, due to which many serious diseases like cancer are increasing. These harmful chemical pesticides are being used by farmers to protect crops from pests and to get higher yields. It also affects the health of the farmer during the experiment. Considering the harmful effects of these medicines on the human body, the government is also trying to promote organic farming. There are many organizations in the district which are promoting this farming.
