Jhunjhunu : Jhunjhunu The state government has appointed the administrator after the tenure of 49 body heads of the state ends. Now, till the elections are not held, only the administrative officers will look after the work. The tenure of Jhunjhunu Municipal Council, Pilani and Bissau Municipality in the district has ended. According to the notification issued by the Autonomous Government Department on Monday, Additional District Collector has been appointed Administrator in Jhunjhunu Municipal Council. In Bissau Municipality and Pilani Municipality the respective SDMs have been appointed administrators.
Will wait for the election date
Now the announcement of the election date will be awaited in all three bodies. However, the government has written a letter to the District Collector and instructed him to start preparations for the elections. In this, orders were given for formation of wards and delimitation. But this process will be completed by March, till then the administrators will look after the work.
Nagma Bano was elected Chairman of Municipal Council Jhunjhunu on 26 November 2019. At present there are 60 wards. In the elections held five years ago, Congress candidates won in 34 wards, independent candidates in 16 and BJP candidates in ten wards and became councilors. Later, the Congress candidate won in the by-election held in ward number 52. With this, Congress has 35 councillors. Similarly, in the elections held five years ago in Pilani Municipality, Hiralal Nayak was elected president. There are 35 wards here. Mushtaq Khan was elected president in Bissau municipality. There are 25 wards here.
