Mumbai, November 19 (IANS). Media and content arm Jio Studios will also have an impressive presence at the upcoming event of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The production house is set to present an exciting line up of films across different genres.
Jio Studios’ films being screened at the film festival include the entertainer ‘Saali Mohabbat’, the production debut of ace fashion stylist-turned-producer Manish Malhotra.
Radhika Apte and Divyendu and other stars are in important roles in the film ‘Saali Mohabbat’. Sanya Malhotra’s ‘Mrs’ and R. Madhavan’s satirical social-drama ‘Hisab Barabar’ is also included in this list. The film tells the story of a common man tackling the issue of financial fraud as he battles to expose a corporate bank’s billion-dollar scam, starring R Madhavan in a stellar performance.
Jio Studios’ ‘Article 370’ has been selected for the prestigious Indian Panorama section at IFFI 2024, joining the list of 25 films selected from 384 entries. These films will showcase the great work of Jio Studios and will be liked by the audience.
This year (2024) has been full of achievements for Jio Studio. India’s entry at the Oscars with ‘Article 370’, ‘Laapta Ladies’, the record breaking success of ‘Stree 2’, the success of ‘Shaitan’ and the recently released blockbuster ‘Singham Again’ add to Jio’s achievements. .
Jyoti Deshpande, President, Media and Content Business, Reliance Industries, will participate and discuss a panel titled ‘Women in Film – India Chapter: A New Perspective’ at IFFI. Filmmakers Guneet Monga, Andrea Wilson, Tillotama Shome and Aparna Purohit will also attend the event. At the event, there will be a large-scale discussion about the work of women in the film industry.
