Jodhpur : Center of Excellence for Electrical Vehicle (EV) will be set up in the Department of Electrical Engineering, MBM University. In this, there will be research on various components of EV including design of EV vehicles, increasing battery efficiency, charging stations. The main focus of the research will be on increasing the efficiency of batteries in hot regions like Rajasthan. For this, a prototype of the battery’s cooling system will be prepared. At present, the EV vehicle which runs for 300 kilometers in winter with a 50 kWh battery, starts giving a mileage of 200 kilometers by June.
