Jodhpur : The much awaited Foot Over Bridge (FOB) being built by Jodhpur Railway at a cost of about Rs 2 crore to cross the pedestrian path on both sides of the Cantt Railway Station, is taking shape. The construction of this FOB will provide relief to people living in more than 10 colonies as well as lakhs of passengers. This will make it easier to cross on foot. The width of the FOB will be about 3 meters. Connecting both the platforms, its length will be 18-20 meters. Railways is expecting the completion of this FOB by December.
People of these colonies will get facilities: On one side, thousands of people of Cantt area, Saran Nagar, Ekta Nagar, Laxman Nagar, Ramdev Nagar and on the other side, Ganesh Nagar, Balaji Nagar, Om Nagar, Surya Nagar, Narayan Nagar, Gokul Nagar, Bhomiyaji Nagar will get the facility of transportation. 19 January The campaign was launched after the death of two school children in a train accident near Cantt Railway Station in 2024.
Structure work in progress
The structure work of the proposed FOB is currently underway. Structures are being prepared here, which will be erected soon. At the same time, iron pillars are being prepared for the FOB. Then iron girders and slabs will be placed.
