Jodhpur : A meeting was held on Friday regarding issues like increasing tourism in Jodhpur city, safety of tourists and promoting night tourism etc. Collector, city and Sursagar MLA along with officials of tourism industry and many departments were present in the meeting.
In the meeting, there was discussion on organizing cultural programs in the Ghantaghar complex for the tourists through Ghantaghar, Gulabsagar, Toorji Ka Jhalra, Pachetia Hill, Brahmpuri, Fatehpol, Jalori Gate till Kandoi Bazaar, Ghantaghar. There was also talk of arranging food and drink stalls till late night, streamlining the sanitation system and repairing broken and damaged areas of heritage tourist areas. Besides, there was talk of making lighting arrangements in these areas, cleaning the tourist marked places from 8 pm to 12 am, making complete security arrangements and arranging parking. There was also discussion on working with the Tourism Department in all these works with the cooperation of Hotel Association and other organizations. Councilor Rajesh Singh Kachhavah, Dheeraj Chauhan, Ajit Vyas, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. T. Shubhamangala, PWD Superintending Engineer Suresh Sharma, Jodhpur Discom MD M.M. were present in the meeting. Singhvi, ACP Central Manglesh Chandawat, Mohan Singh, Kailash Pareek and Tourism Department officer Sarita Fidauda etc. were present. Hotelier JM Bub Vipin Panwar also gave suggestions. The Collector discussed many issues with the city and Sursagar MLA.
