Jodhpur : Dangiyawas police station arrested a youth who was absconding for five years in drug trafficking case and wanted in two permanent warrants issued from the court, from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. He was making jalebis at a sweet shop.
Fire in electronics shop, brought under control in one and a quarter hour
Police Officer Manoj Kumar said that in 2019, a case of drug smuggling, illegal weapons, obstruction in government work and murderous attack was registered against Kaluram Jat alias KD, a resident of Kerala Nadi in Salwa Kala, at Nimbahera Sadar police station in Chittorgarh. Since then he was absconding. A reward of Rs 25 thousand was declared on him. Investigation revealed that he neither keeps a mobile phone nor is in contact with his family. He was on the run in Maharashtra, MP, UP and Gujarat. Meanwhile, Constable Sukhdevraj got information from an informer about his working at a sweet shop in Bhopal. Police reached Bhopal. He was brought to Jodhpur and arrested.
Theft in broad daylight in farmer’s house
On the other hand, thieves stole gold and silver jewelery worth lakhs and Rs 14,500 by breaking the locks of a farmer’s abandoned house in Sarnada ki Dhani in village Kankelav under Dangiyawas police station in broad daylight. When the nephew reached home to give fodder and water to the cows, the theft was discovered. According to the police, Babulal son Sukhdevram Bishnoi, resident of Dhani of Sarnada, had gone to the farm in Sanvalta Kala village, 35 km away, with his wife at 8.30 am on Tuesday. Son Ramesh and younger son Subhash also left for work at 9 am and 11 am. There was no one in the house. On the advice of Babulal, nephew Mahendra came to the house at three o’clock in the afternoon to give water to the cow and buffalo. Then the door was opened. The locks were broken. Suspecting theft, he made a video call to Subhash and informed him. Then other members of the family were informed. On investigation, 15 tola gold tusi, armlets, oilcloth, bhanwariya and sakli, thirty tola silver anklets kept in an iron box were missing.
