Jodhpur Rabi crops benefit from increasing cold, growth of other crops increases

Jodhpur : Jodhpur: Due to increase in cold and dew at night in Tinwari area this week, Rabi crops are growing well. Irrigated crops like wheat, mustard and gram have benefited significantly from this. Farmers say that if this situation continues then the production of crops will be better. Farmer Hem Singh of Bhalasaria area said that due to lack of rain in Mawath, more irrigation had to be done in Rabi crops. The growth of the crop was halted due to lack of cold, but due to the effect of cold this week, the growth of wheat and other crops is accelerating.

Farmers say that the dew that fell at night is reaching the roots of the plants, due to which the crops are benefiting. The moisture of dew is improving the appearance of the crops and promoting their growth. Farmers are hoping that if the dew continues to fall, both the quality and production of the crop will improve. However, farmers believe that the lack of monsoon rains still remains a challenge. Due to shortage of water in many places, the need for irrigation is being felt. Agriculture officer Babulal Joya says that those farmers who have sown wheat 20-25 days ago, should now irrigate the crop by adding urea. The growth of crops that was halted due to drop in temperature has started again.
