Jodhpur Railway Engineer cut trees in depot, stopped the work by employing labour.

Jodhpur : Jodhpur While on one hand a campaign of planting trees is being run for environmental protection and a scheme like ‘One Tree in the Name of Mother’ is being run, on the other hand, 24 trees have been cut in the Railways in the name of development. Actually, 280 trees have been planted in the Engineer Depot located at Bhagat Ki Kothi. Vande Bharat’s maintenance depot is being built here. The land of Engineer Depot is also included in this depot, hence the lush green trees on the land of Engineer Depot were cut down.

Here, when the Patwari reached the spot, the project manager disappeared from the spot. Here 24 trees were cut, of which 17 were Neem trees and 1 tree was dry. At the same time, 2 peach trees, 1 safeda, 1 khejri and 3 dry acacia trees have been cut. Patwari told that the project manager was called to the spot but he did not come and the phone was switched off, hence a report was prepared after inspecting the spot and the harvesting was stopped.
