Jodhpur : Jodhpur Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan After almost twenty years of the establishment of Rajasthan Ayurved University, regular PhD degree can now be started in the university. Governor Haribhau Bagde, who came to the inauguration ceremony of the international conference ‘Aushad Manakam’ in the university on Thursday, announced this from the stage. The Governor asked the university to prepare a proposal for stipend based PhD and send it to both the Raj Bhavan and the state government. Law Minister Jogaram Patel also assured to provide new PhD seats. He also talked about arranging a fund of Rs 50 lakh. There are 14 departments in Ayurveda University. It is expected that the government will provide two seats for PhD in each department. It is noteworthy that some institutes including National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, Jamnagar Ayurveda University have the facility of regular PhD, but regular PhD has not started yet in the first and only Ayurveda University of the state. It could not be done. It was established in 2001.
Governor Bagde said that Ayurveda is the ancient heritage of India, which needs to be tested by modern science. Without drug standardization, widespread dissemination of Ayurvedic medicine is not possible. This conference will play an important role in making Ayurveda medicines as per scientific standards. Every medicine should have a standard as per the age, its grading should be done. He said that in every village and every city, excellent quality raw material is available for manufacturing Ayurveda medicines. There is a need to identify him. Ayurveda is a safe medical system. Leaves of basil, neem etc. are consumed as immunity power. Therefore, more and more medicinal plants should be planted in the university campus, so that the students studying Ayurveda can acquire knowledge and understand its usefulness and apply it.
Inauguration of newly constructed Homeopathic College: On this occasion, he inaugurated the newly constructed Homeopathic College in the university campus. Also launched the University’s International Journal of Research in AYUSH.
