Jodhpur : Incidents of theft are continuously happening in Jodhpur Luni police station area. Most of these incidents were never revealed. On Sunday, once again thieves targeted two houses located in Shikarpura of Luni police station area and stole Rs 4 lakh in cash along with 12 tola gold and 3 kg silver.
Police Officer Hukam Singh said that the houses of Jagdish son of Mularam Prajapat, resident of Shikarpura Nai Abadi area and his relative Chautharam Prajapat are built nearby. Due to cold everyone was sleeping in their rooms. Late on Saturday night, thieves entered the rooms where no one was present and committed the crime. Theft was discovered when I woke up in the morning. The thieves took away 4 tola gold, 2 lakh rupees in cash, half a kilo of silver jewelery from Jagdish Prajapat’s house, while they took away 8 tola gold, 2.25 kilos of silver along with 2.25 lakh rupees in cash from Chautharam’s house. While leaving, the thieves also took away the mobile phone from the house and the motorcycle parked in the premises. When the police found out the location, the mobile phone was found near a water tank 500 meters away. Looking at the wheel marks, we went in search of the motorcycle and found the motorcycle with the key attached to it on a dirt road near the bushes, about one and a half kilometers away. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot, inspected the spot and started searching for the accused. On the report of the complainant, Luni police station has registered a case.
