Jodhpur: Water will reach 64 BOPs on the border with Rajasthan directly through pipeline.

Jodhpur : The Home Ministry has started the project of reaching the Indira Gandhi Canal water through pipeline line to the border outposts (BOP) located on the western border adjacent to Rajasthan. In the first phase, Himalayan water will reach 81 border BOPs at a cost of about Rs 181 crore. With this, people living in Dhani villages of the border area along with the soldiers will get water. After the start of the project, work has started in 17 BOPs at a cost of Rs 22.05 crore, while work is about to start in 64 BOPs at a cost of Rs 159.71 crore. DG Daljit Singh Chaudhary, who came to participate in the 60th Foundation Day celebrations of BSF, gave this special information. DG Chaudhary said that construction of 2280 km long roads is about to start on the borders of Punjab and Rajasthan. At a cost of Rs 4408 crore, these roads will be built near the fencing and the roads connecting BOP. Apart from this, the work of new design fence has started in Ganganagar sector of Rajasthan.

BSF alert after terrorists escape from jail

On the current situation in Bangladesh and the question of attacks on Hindus, BSF DG said that after the change of power in Bangladesh, the atmosphere of fear in the area has increased the vigilance on the Bangladesh border. Several incidents of rumor spreading were reported, due to which some people moved towards the border. BSF has coordinated with Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB). People coming to the border were sent back and security was ensured. There has been no unauthorized activity on the border during this period. On the question of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) terrorists escaping from jails, he said that BSF is fully alert, their activities are being monitored.

Shah will attend the main function tomorrow. Preparations for the main function to be held on December 8 have been completed. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will reach Jodhpur on Saturday evening to attend it as the chief guest. Its preparations were finalized and during the full dress rehearsal on Friday morning, border guards from all over the country displayed their bravery. BSF DG Daljit Singh Chaudhary took stock of the rehearsal.
