Kalika will roam on a black scooty outside Bikaner school-college, 7 teams formed

Bikaner : Bikaner A new police unit Kalika has been formed for the safety of women and children. This team of women in blue uniform on black scooters will be deployed outside schools, colleges and religious places. In the first phase, a team of 250 will be deployed in the entire state. In its next phase the figure will be increased to 500. Kalika team has been formed in Bikaner city. For this, the scooty will come to Bikaner by this week. Seven teams have been formed. Kalika Patrolling and Mahila Shakti Unit will work in coordination with each other.

ASP (City) Saurabh Tiwari said that each unit includes four women constables, who will work in two shifts. RI Police Inspector Rajesh Siyag will be in charge of the team. Those women constables who know how to ride a scooter and have a driving license have been included in the team. Also, women who are experts in self-defense and also physically strong. This team has been formed to provide safety, molestation and fear free environment to women and children.

Blue uniform, black scooty will be recognized

These teams will be deployed at schools, religious places, colleges, markets, cinema halls, malls, parks, tourist places and sensitive places. This will help in preventing crimes like chain snatching from happening to children and women at these places. The uniform will be of blue colour, with Kalika’s monogram on it. There will also be a monogram of Kalika Patrolling Team in neon color on the back of the shirt.

The team will have wireless kit. The team will reach that direction as soon as information is received over wireless. Calls coming from the women’s helpline number on mobile will also reach them. The team will reach the front line first and catch the miscreants and molesting youth and hand them over to the police station. Kalika patrolling team has received special instructions that they will not be able to cover their faces with scarves. This team of women constables will be supervised by ASP level officers. 7 units of Kalika Patrolling have been formed. Kalika will be deployed from 17th December. Kalika will be monitored by ASP of Sikau (Special Investigation Unit Crime Against Women).
