Kalika Patrolling Unit of Mahila Police is ready in Range Pali. Will soon enter the field to save daughters from criminal elements. 44 women policemen working in the patrolling unit have been trained. Range DIG Pradeep Mohan Sharma and ASP Prem Dhande trained the selected women policemen in Kalika Unit on Monday.
Will be deployed in all four districts: DIG Sharma said that this unit will work in all four districts. 20 women policemen have been selected in Pali, 8 each in Jalore, Sirohi and Sanchore districts. A meeting of 44 women policemen from the four districts was held in the range office on Monday. During this, he was informed about the purpose of formation of Kalika Patrol Unit and the working technology. This unit will not only help in curbing crimes against women but will also help in strengthening the daughters. Girls will also be given training in schools and colleges to make them self-reliant and empowered.
Will keep an eye on public places and educational places
ASP Range Prem Dhande said that Kalika Patrolling Unit will keep an eye on public places and educational places. Here, it will prevent molestation, teasing and other unpleasant incidents happening with women and girls. The unit will operate in two shifts. For this, five two-wheelers will be provided in Pali and two each in Jalore, Sirohi and Sanchore. Two women policemen will patrol on a two-wheeler. There will be a separate blue uniform for them.
