New Delhi, December 11 (IANS). The case of suicide of AI engineer Atul Subhash in Bengaluru is in the headlines. Outspoken actress and Mandi MP Kangana Ranaut said that the country is shocked and heartbroken by this news, but on the basis of this one incident alone, one should not conclude that all cases of dowry harassment are false.
Kangana Ranaut said, “A video of a young man has surfaced, which is heart-wrenching and the entire nation is shocked to see the video. There should not be such a burden on a young man. Crores were being demanded from him, which was very high as per his salary.”
He said, “As long as marriage is bound by Indian traditions, it is fine. But as soon as the worm of feminism or socialism enters the marriage, then things get ruined. If people make marriage a business, then it will be very bad.” It will be wrong. Crores were always demanded from the engineer.
Kangana said that mostly women are exploited. We cannot prove every woman wrong because of one bad example.
In this famous suicide case, the police have registered a case under Section 108 and Section 3(5) of the Indian Justice Code. However, the deceased’s brother Vikas Modi has said that even after the FIR has been registered, the police has not taken any action yet.
