Kanhaiya Kumar’s statement violates women’s rights: Hussain Dalwai

New Delhi, November 16 (IANS). Congress leader and former MP Hussain Dalwai spoke to IANS on Friday. He criticized Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar’s recent statement regarding Amrita Fadnavis, wife of senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis.

Kanhaiya Kumar had commented on an Instagram reel video of Amrita Fadnavis, in which he had said that we will save religion and Amrita Fadnavis will keep making reels. Hussain Dalwai expressed strong opposition to this statement and called it a violation of personal freedom and women’s rights.

Hussain Dalwai, while talking exclusively to IANS, said that this statement of Kanhaiya Kumar is absolutely wrong and insensitive. If Amrita Fadnavis is a dancer and she dances as per her wish in her personal life, then what is wrong in that? He clarified that it is unfair to make such criticism regarding Amrita’s personal life and her personal decisions.

He said, “Is it wrong because she is Fadnavis sahib’s wife? Doesn’t she have the right to have her own lifestyle and do things as per her choice? This is a violation of women’s personal rights. If she is a good dancer and There should be nothing wrong in performing one’s art. Making such negative comments promotes a wrong mindset and should be seen as an attempt to interfere in the personal and professional decisions of women.

He also said, “This amounts to a personal attack against someone, and I completely reject it. Women have every right to freely follow their desires, and such criticisms are not acceptable in any society.” Shouldn’t happen.”

Dalwai supported Devendra Fadnavis, saying that he has always stood by his wife’s independent decisions. He said, “Devendra Fadnavis is a sensible leader and he does not interfere in his wife’s personal life in any way. This is his personal matter, and we should look at it from that perspective.”
