Hyderabad, December 1 (IANS). Kannada TV actress Shobhita Shivanna was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her home in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana.
The body of twenty-nine-year-old Shobhita was found hanging from the ceiling of her apartment in Shriram Nagar Colony, Gachibowli.
After getting information from the neighbours, the police reached the apartment and found his body hanging.
Police have sent the body to the government Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem.
Shobhita was popular for her roles in the television serials ‘Brahmagantu’ and ‘Ninidale’. He also worked in some films.
The actress, who hails from Sakleshpur in Hassan district of Karnataka, got married last year. After marriage, she was away from the entertainment industry and was living in Hyderabad with her husband Sudhir.
The reasons for Shobhita’s alleged suicide are not known. Gachibowli police have registered a case and started investigating the circumstances of his death.
Police are recording statements of his family, friends and neighbours.
Shobhita’s body will be taken to Bengaluru, where her maternal family lives.
