Karoli: 2 smugglers arrested with 12.33 grams of smack, sent to jail

Karauli : Langra police station of Karauli has once again taken major action against smack and arrested two suppliers. Police have seized 12.33 grams of smack from the accused and the bike that was being used for supply. Police have also seized Rs 47 thousand from the accused for selling smack. The accused used to supply smack by making small packets in Langra police station area. Police are interrogating the accused regarding smack.

Langra police station officer Vasudev Baswal said that blockade was being done in Arampur and Markapura Tiraha area. During vehicle checking and blockade at the intersection, two people were seen coming on a bike from Markapura. When an attempt was made to stop the bike, both the driver and the person sitting behind got scared. The police surrounded both of them and caught them. Could not give satisfactory answers to the police during interrogation. When the police asked the name and address of the bike rider, the accused told his name as Aklesh (55) son of Bhagwati, resident of Batda and the other told him as Dharam Singh (28) son of Badri, resident of Santhalpur police station Langra. Due to suspicious activities, the police searched the accused. During the search of both, a total of 12.33 grams of smack and Rs 47 thousand for sale were recovered from the accused. The police arrested the accused and also seized the bike that was being used for supply work. During the action, constables Bhupendra, Devendra, Jitendra Singh, Vishram and Narendra were involved with the police station officer.
