Karauli : Karauli Budget announcements are taking shape. Under this, work on 728 roads will be done through the Public Works Department in 158 bodies of the state including Karauli at a cost of Rs 180 crore 77 lakh 76 thousand. In this regard, Kumar Pal Gautam, Director of Local Government Department and Special Government Secretary, has issued administrative and financial approval in this regard on Wednesday. It is noteworthy that the work to be done at a cost of Rs 317 crore 50 lakh in total 295 bodies of the state. Out of road related works, approval has been issued for the works of 158 bodies.
25 CC road related works worth Rs 5 crore 40 lakh will be done in four bodies of Karauli district. Whose total length will be about 7 km. According to the departmental approval order, 16 works of about 3 km at a cost of Rs 2 crore in Karauli Municipal Council area, 1 work of 1400 meter road construction at a cost of Rs 2 crore in Hindaun City, 1 work in Sapotra Municipality area. 5 works of construction of 1550 meter road at a cost of Rs. crore and 3 works of construction of 790 meter road at a cost of Rs 40 lakh were done in the newly declared municipality Mandrayal. After administrative and financial approval, tenders will now be floated and the online process will be done which will take about one and a half months. After this, work order will be issued to the concerned contractor.
Karauli Roads in the Municipal Council area are in bad condition. There are deep potholes on the major roads of the city including the highways due to which many drivers have fallen and got injured. In view of the problems of the city residents, a street search campaign was launched recently. In which a series of news were published regarding the dilapidated roads of the district. After this, proposals for the damaged roads were made and sent by the district administration. In such a situation, the city residents will soon get relief from pothole-filled roads and there will be ease of movement.
