Karauli : District Headquarters Highway is under traffic jam. While the accumulation of vehicles at various places on the highways coming out of the city has become a hindrance in smooth traffic, there is also a possibility of an accident. The person responsible is not serious about solving this problem that has been going on for years. What’s more, the road in front of the Collectorate is surrounded by a gathering of vehicles, but top officials are also ignoring this problem. It is noteworthy that the highway is passing through the center of the city. Due to this, the pressure of vehicles on the highway is also very high. Despite this, the accumulation of vehicles on both sides of the highway from Masalpur Chungi to three major areas is becoming a problem for the common people and other drivers. Private buses, trucks, jeeps, autos, bikes etc. are parked on the highway from morning till evening, due to which the traffic is getting disrupted.
Vehicle repair on the road itself: There are vehicle repair shops at many places on the highway. Shopkeepers are seen parking their vehicles on the road and repairing them. Especially at the old Truck Union Circle near the Superintendent of Police office, the situation is worse. Where vehicles like trucks, buses etc. are parked on both sides of the road every day. Which cover most of the road. These vehicles are repaired on the road only. In such a situation, traffic remains disrupted. Schools are also running nearby. Mandrayal route also originates from this route. In such a situation, there is movement of vehicles throughout the day, but the traffic is disrupted due to the accumulation of buses and trucks on the road.
Hindoncity. Wherever you look on the major roads and intersections of the city, there is a gathering of private buses and rickshaw vehicles. Due to years of stoppages and departures due to negligence by the responsibilities, these places have become illegal vehicle stands. Due to the queue of private buses and other passenger vehicles on the road, the common people are facing the problem of traffic jam every day. The situation is that despite the constant coming and going of administration and police officers from the district to the subdivision, no one has paid attention to this.
Years ago, people got rid of the problem of stopping at the railway gate due to the construction of a flyover on the Mahwa-Karauli road passing through the center of the city. But due to the accumulation of vehicles and encroachments on both sides of the road from the mouth of the flyover to the cow shed, the road has become narrow to the standard of the state highway. There are more or less half a dozen stands for private buses and heavy vehicles on the three kilometer long road. The worst situation is from Chaupar Circle and Bayana Mod to Old Chungi.
Roadways is suffering loss: Roadways Corporation is suffering financial loss due to gathering of private buses and rickshaw vehicles outside the Roadways bus stand. Officials of the Roadways Workers’ Organization say that as per government rules, there should not be any stand for private vehicles within a radius of one kilometer of the Roadways Bus Stand. Whereas due to private vehicles of all routes standing outside the bus stand, the roadways lose revenue of several lakh rupees per day.
