Karauli : Karauli According to the changed budget announcement, Santosh Karol, Deputy Secretary, Animal Husbandry Department, has issued an order to upgrade 24 first class veterinary hospitals of the state, including Todabhim in the district, to multi-purpose veterinary hospitals. These include the Block Veterinary Health Office operated in Todabhim from Karauli district, 1 each from Chittorgarh, Nagaur, Sirohi, Dausa, Tonk, Kuchaman City and Rajsamand, 2 each from Ajmer and Jalore, 3 from Barmer, 4 from Pali, 5 from Jaipur. First class veterinary hospitals are included. Recently, 19 veterinary hospitals in the state have been converted into first class hospitals and 98 veterinary sub-divisions. The centers were upgraded to veterinary hospitals. It is noteworthy that multi-purpose veterinary hospitals are already running in Karauli and Hindaun.
Joint Director of Animal Husbandry Department, Dr. Gangasahay Meena said that with the upgradation of the veterinary hospital in Todabhim, it will be easier for the animal farmers to get the treatment of their animals suffering from serious diseases, while the structure of the veterinary hospitals will be strengthened. Multi-purpose hospital to be operated in two shifts. In case of emergency (late night/accident etc.) in the hospital, animals will be able to get better treatment on time.
This facility will be available: In multi-purpose veterinary hospitals, specialist doctors of surgery, gynecology and medicine will be available to the animal farmers under one roof. Also, facilities for various types of tests like X-ray, sonography etc. will be available. Benefit of departmental schemes will also be available. Rs. 1-1 lakh approved for equipment and furniture: According to the orders, funds up to Rs. 1-1 lakh will be spent from related budget items to purchase necessary equipment and furniture in each multi-purpose veterinary hospital. Consent has also been given.
