New Delhi, December 1 (IANS). Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge gave a controversial statement at a meeting held at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on Sunday.
Kharge compared himself to Jyotirlinga. Kharge said, ‘I am a Hindu, my name is Mallikarjun Kharge, I am a Linga, one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas.’ My father named me like this. The BJP leader has strongly protested against Kharge’s controversial statement.
BJP leader Shehzad Poonawala has released a video saying that insulting Hindu faith is the identity of the Congress party. Congress first insulted Shri Ram. The Congress had termed the ceremony organized for the consecration of Shri Ram Lala as a dance and song.
Congressmen have been continuously raising questions on the existence of Shri Ram. Now Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge is insulting Lord Shiva. Kharge has compared himself with 12 Jyotirlingas. He has said that I am a sacred Jyotirlinga. I want to ask whether Congress can make such comments about any other religion. For the sake of vote bank, the level of Congress has fallen so much that work is being done continuously to hurt the faith of Hindus.
Congress President should apologise. If name is Shiva, then you cannot become Lord Shiva. Crores of people have faith in Jyotirlinga and they are calling themselves Jyotirlinga. This is a big insult to the Hindu society.
Let us tell you that in the Delhi meeting, Mallikarjun Kharge said that my party is secular. I want us all to move together. The people of BJP are working to destroy the power gained in democracy.
BJP only talks about morality but does immoral things. Sometimes she steals votes from EVMs and sometimes she steals your elected MLAs. Sometimes it steals your pension, and sometimes it steals the MSP of farmers.
