Kilns running in Kota brick is bed area, pollution mafia suppressed from drain to government land

Kota : Illegal operation of brick kilns is being done against the rules amidst dense population in Kota city. The environment is being polluted by the dust and smoke coming from these brick kilns. People allege that despite having information about illegal brick kilns, the concerned departments and officials are not taking action. The team investigated the continuous complaints about brick kilns running in the population.

Brick kilns are being run on drain land in Indraprastha industrial area. It is worth noting that the Pollution Control Board office is just one kilometer away from here. Half a dozen brick kilns are being operated here. The kilns keep spewing fire and smoke throughout the day. The poisonous smoke of brick kilns is causing trouble to the people nearby. Complaints about which have been made several times, but no action is being taken by the district administration.

A brick kiln is being run on agricultural land near platform number two of Sogaria station. In this, apart from straw, tires are burnt. This produces suffocating smoke. Soot accumulates on the roofs of houses. Due to this kiln, many residential colonies including Sogaria, North X Township, Ranjeet Colony, Roteda, Green Palm, Railway Workshop Colony are being affected. Local Anu Sharma said that the administration should intervene and get this kiln closed.

Even on Rico’s land

More than half a dozen brick kilns are running on RIICO land in Chambal Industrial Area located on DCM Road. The local people are facing a lot of trouble due to the smoke coming out of the brick kilns. There are many factories in the industrial area. The entrepreneurs here are also troubled by the smoke coming out of brick kilns. Complained to RIICO and district administration, but no department is ever taking any action against them. In such a situation, people have now stopped complaining.
