Rajasthan government minister Dr. Kirori Meena is once again seen in action mode after the by-elections. Reached the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) office on Friday, 29 November. He demanded arrest in the case of alleged irregularities in the trust running the veterinary college of Jaipur. Dr. Meena and investor Raj Khare met ACB Director General Ravi Prakash Mehra and demanded action in the case registered in 2020. The ACB said it had investigated the allegations and found no truth in them, but the case has been reopened. According to Meena, the American investor had ‘spent crores of rupees’ in setting up a veterinary college in Jaipur after former Chief Minister Bhairon Singh Shekhawat urged him to invest in Rajasthan.
Investment was made on the advice of former CM Shekhawat
Khare has alleged embezzlement in the trust and has also filed a case against a trustee. He is demanding arrest in this case. At the same time, Meena says that when former Chief Minister Bhairon Singh Shekhawat had gone to America, he had asked Raj Khare to invest in Rajasthan. After this, Khare opened ‘Apollo Animal Medical College’ in Jaipur and spent crores of rupees. He lives in America and in his absence some elements took control of the trust. He said that it is an asset worth Rs 4-5 thousand crores, which is spread over about 32 bighas of land. As soon as Kirodilal left the ACB office, Khare sat on the stairs and started demanding the arrest of the accused. The investor said that he has also met Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma regarding this matter, but no action has been taken yet.
ACB DG said this
DG ACB Dr. Ravi Prakash Mehra said that the allegations were not found true in the investigation. Due to this the case was closed and the final report was presented in the court. Later the case was reopened and the matter is being re-investigated.
