Kirori Lal Meena wrote a letter to the CM demanding inclusion of this district of Rajasthan in Kota division

Sawai Madhopur : Sawai Madhopur is famous for Ranthambore Tiger Safari. The demand to include this district in Kota division has arisen again. Currently, Sawai Madhopur comes in Bharatpur division. But earlier it was included in Kota division. The distance from Bharatpur to Sawai Madhopur is about 200 kilometers. Whereas the distance from Kota to Sawai Madhopur is only 130 kilometers.

Kirori Lal Meena made the demand

Rajasthan’s Agriculture cum Disaster Minister Kirori Lal Meena has written a letter to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. In the letter, he has demanded the inclusion of Sawai Madhopur in Kota division. Kirori Lal Meena wrote that Sawai Madhopur district is currently included in Bharatpur division, which is 200 kilometers away.

The reasoning behind the change

The minister said in the letter that there is no adequate road facility to travel from Sawai Madhopur to Bharatpur. Apart from Sawai Madhopur, other tehsil headquarters of the district are not connected by rail. Due to this, the people of Sawai Madhopur have to face a lot of trouble in going to Bharatpur for divisional work.

These demands were made from the CM

The minister also put forward several major reasons for this change in the letter. The distance between Sawai Madhopur and Bharatpur is very high, due to which there is a delay in sending files and papers from offices to the divisional level. Sawai Madhopur has the Ranthambore Sanctuary, due to which this district has a distinct identity. One has to run to Bharatpur again and again for development work.
