Churu : A 22-year-old girl committed suicide on 24 July in Churu, Rajasthan. The girl, who lived in Sadulpur area, had filed a case of rape and sexual abuse on 20 July before committing suicide. When the police did not take any action, she ended her life. After this, the family members have started protesting. However, the police were promising to catch the accused soon. The girl’s maternal uncle told the police – “About 6 years ago, the niece used to live with us on the farm. During that time, while bathing, a young man named Bansi Lal made a 20-second long video of her, which he kept with him for a long time. 4 years ago, the girl’s father died. The family members were in shock. At that time, Bansi Lal started coming home and he consoled the niece. The two started talking.”
The girl was under stress after the video went viral
Bansi Lal sent the video to the girl. Later, he raped her in the name of making it viral. This disgusting sequence started which continued for 4 years. The girl was sexually abused. The family members told the police that the accused was harassing them for the past few days. He had made the video viral. Due to this, the daughter was under stress. A case was registered on 20th July. On 21st July, the police got the girl medically examined and recorded her statement in front of the magistrate. However, the accused was not caught. Finally, the girl committed suicide.
