Jodhpur : There is a ruckus in the case of death of Rajasthan Administrative Service officer Priyanka Bishnoi. On Thursday, the Bishnoi community alleged that the officer died as part of a conspiracy. Let us tell you that 33-year-old Rajasthan RAS officer Priyanka Bishnoi had undergone surgery in the hospital on September 5 due to a lump in the uterus. After this, her health deteriorated the next day and her family took her to Ahmedabad, where she died on Wednesday night after 20 days of treatment.
The role of anesthesia is most important in any surgery. So let us know what anesthesia is? A dose of anesthesia is given during surgery so that the body does not feel pain. It contains a mixture of many medicines. When it enters the body, the nervous system is unable to send any signal to the brain. A dose of anesthesia is given so that the patient does not feel pain due to the surgical cut made during the operation and he does not move. Due to this, the patient is also not aware of the surgery and he remains unconscious.
The family members made this allegation
In this case, Priyanka’s family alleged that the woman officer was given an excessive amount of sedatives due to which her health deteriorated and she died. The officer’s family wrote a letter to the collector demanding an investigation. After this, the collector ordered the Principal of the Medical College to form a committee and investigate. The 5-member committee formed under the direction of the Principal will submit its report to the collector on Saturday.
What happens if the dosage is less or more?
When a patient is operated upon, one of the doctors in the surgery room is an anesthesia specialist. This specialist decides the dose of anesthesia based on the patient’s age, his medical condition, the type of surgery, and the size of the surgery. If the dose is given ignoring all the circumstances, anything can happen. For example, if the dose is given less, the patient may regain consciousness before time and the pain may be more. This condition is not life-threatening, but if the dose is given more, the patient may suffer a brain stroke or heart attack. Apart from this, the pulse rate and blood pressure may also increase. Sometimes, due to more dose, the patient may even become paralyzed or brain dead.
What did the doctors say?
In Priyanka Bishnoi’s case, the doctors denied this allegation and said in their statement that there was no complication during the surgery, but a problem was detected in her mind during the test, which can become dangerous and life-threatening if it grows, the same problem occurred in Priyanka’s case. Priyanka was under stress even before the surgery and stress was also detected in the CT scan. No negligence has been committed by the doctors.
