Jaipur : Big news is coming out from Bisalpur Dam, which is called the lifeline of the capital Jaipur. The gauge of Bisalpur Dam crossed 315.50 RL meter. In such a situation, two gates of the dam were opened. Water Resources Minister Suresh Singh Rawat opened the gates of the dam after performing the ritualistic worship. Water is being released into the Banas river by opening the gates of the dam. Let us tell you that this is the 7th time in the history of Bisalpur that the gates of the dam have been opened. Before opening the gates of Bisalpur Dam, people were alerted by sounding the siren. After this, Water Resources Minister Suresh Singh Rawat duly performed the puja and then two gates were opened. Many officials including Tonk Collector Dr. Saumya were present on this occasion. Earlier, the gates of Bisalpur Dam were opened in the year 2022.
When did the dam overflow
Bisalpur Dam was completed in the year 1996. Water was stored in the dam for the first time in the year 2004 and for the first time it overflowed on 18 August. After this, the dam overflowed on 25 August 2006, 19 August 2014, 10 August 2016, 19 August 2019 and 26 August 2022. But this time the dam overflowed in September.

The total water level of Bisalpur dam is 315.50 RL meter. In which 38.703 TMC water level is recorded. 21 thousand 300 hectares of land gets submerged in the full water level of the dam. In which a total of 68 villages get submerged. In which 25 villages get completely submerged while 43 villages get partially submerged in which only agricultural land gets submerged. After the construction of the dam, this time it will overflow for the seventh time after getting fully filled.
