Know the decision of Bhajanlal government to promote gems and jewellery industry in Rajasthan

Jaipur : Rajasthan government is continuously working to promote the gems and jewellery industry. For this the government has made a big plan. Bhajanlal government will further develop Jaipur airport, so that international flights will come directly here and people will be able to come directly here to buy jewellery.

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said on Friday that the contribution of the gems and jewellery industry is important in the economic progress of the state and his government is working to promote it. Addressing the inaugural program of ‘Jas-2024’ organized by the ‘Jewellers Association’ here, Sharma said that Jaipur is famous for gems and jewellery on the world stage.

Gems and jewellery traders are contributing significantly to the economic progress of the state as well as employment generation. According to the official statement, Sharma said that the jewellery made in Jaipur is recognized worldwide for its beauty and craftsmanship. For this reason, gems and jewellery in Jaipur have been identified by the state government under the ‘One District One Product’ (ODOP) scheme.

Bhajanlal Sharma wrote on the social media platform X, “In the financial year 2023-24, the total export from Rajasthan was Rs 83,704 crore, in which the share of gems and jewellery was Rs 11,183 crore. A large number of people come here from abroad to buy jewellery. We will develop Jaipur Airport further, so that international flights will come directly here and people will be able to come directly here to buy jewellery.
