Jaipur : Law Minister Jogaram Patel, a member of the Cabinet sub-committee formed to brainstorm on new districts, has attacked those agitating over the districts. He said that during the Congress rule, districts were formed without any criteria and now the agitating people feel that their districts were formed wrongly. In an informal conversation with the media, he said that those who are going to agitate are those people who have a misconception in their mind that the formation of their district was completely wrong or not according to the norms, it was done only for political gains. Regarding the protest in Gangapur, Sanchore, he said that even if the district does not exist, there will be no injustice to the residents of the area and the districts which have been formed as per the norms will not be tampered with.
Congress representatives lost in all the new districts formed.
Patel said that in all the districts formed during the Congress rule, all the Congress representatives there lost the elections. Madan Prajapat of Balotra roamed barefoot without wearing shoes demanding the district, even though the district was created, he lost. Sanchore district was formed yet Sukhram Vishnoi lost the election. Babulal Nagar made Dudu a district, he also lost. Patel said that the decision will be taken after reviewing the districts without any discrimination. Regarding the ban on census on new districts, he said that if we feel that we have to reduce the districts or create or make alterations, then we will consider and take permission. He said that it takes 10 years for a district to attain perfection and then that district becomes perfect.
