Due to heavy rains, two gates of Chhapi Dam had to be opened in the morning. Due to heavy rains in the catchment area of the dam, water is continuously coming in. The discharge of 2686 cusecs of water from the dam has started. At the same time, heavy rains are also continuing in Harnavdashaji of Baran. Due to heavy rains, the Khal located on Harnavdashaji Manohar Thana Marg has overflowed after almost 2 years.

New alert issued
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a major alert of rain in the next three hours. According to the department, moderate to heavy rains may occur in Bharatpur, Dholpur, Pali, Baran, Jhalawar districts with thunder and lightning. During this time, the wind speed can be 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. The department has issued an orange alert for these districts. At the same time, light to moderate rains may occur at some places in Jaipur, Alwar, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Churu, Nagaur, Bikaner, Kota, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Bundi, Jodhpur, Chittorgarh, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Rajsamand, Sirohi, Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara and Pratapgarh districts. The department has issued a yellow alert for these districts.
Heavy rain in Jhalawar

In the last 24 hours, Jhalawar received 3 mm of rain, Jhalrapatan received 1 mm of rain, Manoharthana received 3 mm of rain, Pachpahar received 4 mm of rain, Pidawa received 15 mm of rain and Sunel received 6 mm of rain. The average rainfall in the district so far has been 574.69 mm.
